This is not how to steal a beer.
Roberto Pinon-Solis was arrested after Beaverton Police Departmentwas called to the AM/PM convenient store on 14555 SW Tualatin Valley Highway (SR8). Mr. Pinon Solis had gone into the store demanding money, but the left with just a single beer.
According to the clerk He (Roberto) went in and told the him (the clerk) he was waiting on a friend and was going to buy a beer. However when the after the other customers left the store he (Roberto) lifted up his shirt to display a black handgun, and told him to put all the money in a bag.
So the clerk in all of his brilliant glory started screaming at the top of his lungs that they were being robbed. At which point Mr. Pinon-Solis grabbed a beer, ran out of the store, and drove away heading towards Hillsboro.
Another clerk then called the police and gave them a description with a partial plate. Police quickly apprehended Roberto Pinon-Solis on SW Tualatin Valley Highway near SW 170th. They were able to recover the handgun (which turned out to be a replica) and one single stolen beer from a 1997 Dodge Stratus which was borrowed without permission from a family member.
Roberto Pinon-Solis has been charged with Robbery in the Second Degree and Theft III. He may also be charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Good job Roberto, if you are going to make a beer run at least make it worth your while. Come on, a beer dude, a single beer? Seriously?

Hey c’mon – sometimes one beer is all you really need.
I have never met one of those times but I’m sure it could happen to someone
