As you all know St. Patricks day will be here in less than a month and to do a little early celebrating our contest for Free Beer this month will be the best photo submitted from a previous St. Patrick’s Day event. You can submit photos of people passed out in awkward places, drunk folks acting silly, or your best friend downing a mug of frothy green beer. One person will have the luck of the Irish when their photo get’s them $50.00 worth of free beer!

So basically last year we decided to revamp BeerGoggleHell.com to include a lot more features, such as user profiles, user groups, etc. Essentially we were trying to create a MySpace style website for beer enthusiasts, and what we found was that most of our users just were not that into it. So we decided to take a step back! The website as you see it now is what we came up with.

While it looks similar to our original design we have separated the drinking games and the Drunken Stories into their very own sections to make it even easier to find what you are looking for while maintaining the blog on our front page so those coming for beer news can easily find it.

Ok so as you all know we have been working really hard on the new site design and the added functionality. We only have the member section to go and a few tweaks on the overall layout. Having said that we would be really interested to get some feedback and ideas on what would enhance the site and make it more enjoyable for you.

Please make a few comments with your thoughts. With your input we can really take this site to a new level.

BGH is having another contest giving away more free beer. In honor of the new website features, and as a way to contribute towards your beer fund, we are going to give a $50.00 gift card for TGIF to the person who has the most “friends” by March 17th, 2009. That’s right whoever has the most friends (on your profile page) by 12PM EST time on St. Patrick’s day will get the free beer.

Thanks to a really nice guy who lives nearby me we have come into a whole lot of home brew equipment, so we have decided to start brewing various beers, trying them out, and posting about the experience here on Beer Goggle Hell.

Having said that we would like you guys to get in on the fun. If you have a recipe you would like us to try add it to the comments below or send it in directly using the “Ask a Drunk” link at the top of the page.

We have a winner in the free beer give away. It was a close call, but the votes are in and “Cops are people too” has been chosen the winner. Matt Burchard will be receiving the $50.00 worth of beer. I hope he puts it to good use. Hopefully he will send us some pictures and maybe have a whole new story to tell.

We will have another contest this month. I am working on ways to make the contests take less time and would love some suggestions on a good contest that everyone can participate in. Please feel free to post them in the comments below or use this form.

The Beer Baroness is 29 years old, has lived in Orlando since 2000, and currently resides in Maitland with her boyfriend, and her pet skunk Dillinger.  Her hobbies include, reading, writing, cooking, shopping, and imbibing the finest beverages the world has to offer.  The Beer Baroness chooses to go by an alias because that is what the Beer Baroness wants to do.  EWW!  Isn’t it creepy when people talk about themselves in third person?  No, really, I chose the name The Beer Baroness because, well, it’s fun.  And because it reminds me of the movie The Saddest Music in the World. If you love beer (and music), you should rent it now. Right now.  Okay, you can finish your beer first.
