Now being a woman myself (roar), I didn’t get into beer until I turned 21. I was never a fan of the taste or smell of hops and barley, and quite frankly, when someone burped with a belly full of beer, I wanted to hang myself because I hate the smell of moldy bread. But I digress…

So last night my brother whom I haven’t seen in a little while, after giving me 3 Pina Coladas, said to me “Hey you want a beer?” Me, who will never deny myself a buzz replied with an excited “Sure!” When he comes within reach, he hands me this tall silver can which said on it Steel Reserve. I’ve never had this beer before, so I tried it (I’m an Aries so I’m pretty adventurous.) When the flavor and the carbonation hit my lips and then my tongue, I became slightly confused. I didn’t know if it tasted really good or really awful, so I commenced in chugging it. Needless to say, I began to feel the effects of this I-Couldn’t-Afford-Corona-And-I-Only-Had-5-Bucks-On-Me beer. I thought Natty Ice put me on my ass. Well,it does but Steel Reserve did something else to me. While I was in his bathroom, I found his girlfriend’s wig and decided it would be cool to put it on and sing an awful rendition of Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams”. What. The. Hell. Only two of those cheap beers I was super buzzed. (The strong pina coladas aided in this feeling.) Honestly, the beer is on the terrible side and has a funny aftertaste, but if you want to get buzzed on the cheap, put them in the freezer  to get them super cold and chug them like you have 5 minutes to live. But I digress…

I was going to start off with Bud or Miller, But Dos Equis is one of my favorites. Hopefully it can become one of yours if it’s not already.

Dos Equis is a mexican beer (cerveza) that has two delicious types; The Lager and The Ambar (a cool way of spelling amber). I would recommend trying both but my favorite is The Lager because it’s light and refreshing, unlike a traditional lager. The Ambar is a smooth, somewhat complex amber that tastes better (at least in my opinion) with food, preferably foods with a little spice. With it having 4.8% alcohol, you can enjoy it while getting a nice, steady buzz. Besides, how can you NOT love a beer that is represented by The Most Interesting Man in the World? I even posted a compilation video of his commercials…

Being the seasoned (but responsible:) Alcoholic that I am, I decided I wanted a beer or two with my breakfast nachos. I browsed through Youtube (since drinking beer and watching viral videos at 9 in the morning is awesome) and I came across this little gem of a sweet elderly couple versus these mean drunk girls that couldn’t hold their liquor even if it stuck to their hands. Now, when I first saw this, I first thought, a) Why are these girls so hammered during daylight hours b) Why are they so drunk and walking around aimlessly and c)  Out of all of the people to pick a fight with, why Mr. and Mrs. Docile? With that being said, don’t take Grams and Gramps for a couple of chumps either. Watch to see what I’m talking about. The video isn’t in English but there isn’t much dialogue,  just pure action. DAMMIT! My main man Rip Torn went and got himself busted for DUI. Oh well he should have known better considering he has been busted twice before. Oh Rip when will you learn? Drinking and driving doesn’t mix. You’re 77 years old (anyone else know that?) and should certainly by now know better. I still love you though and will continue to watch your movies. Try not to drink and drive anymore, ok?

Sam Shepard was arrested early Saturday morning while driving with twice the legal alcohol in his blood. He was also speeding. The arrest took place in Normal, Illinois. 

Sam Shepard is a well known celebrity actor/playwrite who has been Oscar nominated in the past. 

My buddies and I are always wondering why these celbrities who have money and certainly no shortage of “friends” ever feel the need to drive drunk. They have more than enough resources to not do that. Not that having resources is an excuse, no one should ever drive drunk.
