Sam Shepard was arrested early Saturday morning while driving with twice the legal alcohol in his blood. He was also speeding. The arrest took place in Normal, Illinois. 

Sam Shepard is a well known celebrity actor/playwrite who has been Oscar nominated in the past. 

My buddies and I are always wondering why these celbrities who have money and certainly no shortage of “friends” ever feel the need to drive drunk. They have more than enough resources to not do that. Not that having resources is an excuse, no one should ever drive drunk.

Remember folks it is New Years Eve and drinking while can be a lot of fun, driving after you have been drinking is just not smart. Don’t be like Charles Barkely and make a mistake that can ruin your life forever. 

Charles Barkely was stopped at a checkpoint. That means he wasn’t pulled over for driving erratic he just happened to come across a checkpoint. Tonight there will be a lot of checkpoints around, and the police will be out in full force. Make their jobs easier and keep your life on track by having a designated driver or catching a free ride.
